Music for choir, organ and brass.
Intrada Brass performs primarily as an authentic British-style brass band playing a wide repertoire and with the goal of encouraging the composition and arranging of music for brass and percussion by Canadians. Canadian music comprises an important part of the band’s very large repertoire, and the policy of commissioning new music from Canadian composers in on-going.
The band was formed in 1995 by London, Ontario conductor Bram Gregson and a group of like-minded brass players to make recordings, seven of which have been released and are now in worldwide circulation. They have been broadcast extensively on CBC Radio One and Two across Canada and CJRT-FM and Classical 96.3 FM in Toronto. They have also been aired on National Public Radio in the U.S., the BBC in the U.K., in Europe and Australia.
The Choir of St Jude’s Anglican Church, under the direction of Simon Walker, is an auditioned choir of 32 members dedicated to singing the finest choral music from the Anglican tradition.
